Ervin Laszlo is a remarkable human
being. He is in his 79th year and still actively
involved in bringing peace and stability to
the earth. Back in 2006 he published a book
called "The Chaos Point". In that
book he talked about the breakdown or breakthrough
moment the earth and its inhabitants are moving
towards. This book follows on from that work
and includes examples from the global organization
Laszlo has created called: Worldshift (was started
as the Club of Budapest).
He has updated the statistics
for unsustainable practices happening across
the globe and groups these practices into three
major areas: ecology, economy and society. Each
one is sobering reading and whilst it is easy
to say ' well things are changing'
when
you see all the data totaled up at a global
level you realise we need to stay focused and
start more and more conversations to gather
greater momentum towards meaningful change.
Laszlo is a well respected systems
scientist and so his chapter on the patterns
of the Mayan calendar and 2012 add to his overall
message. Part two offers a range of change objectives
which Laszlo has taken to many forums and refined
over the past few years based on dialogues with
thought leaders such as; H.H. the Dalai Lama,
Jose Argulles, Deepak Chopra, Jane Goodall and
Mohammed Yunus to name but a few.
The appendix section of
the book is just as rich as the main chapters.
Included are the Worldshift 2012 declaration;
the initiatives by the Club of Budapest and
The Mission statement for the Alliance of a
new Humanity.
