My first
experience of Dr. Gangadean's work was back
in 2006 during the setup of the Club
of Budapest in Australia. He is a
honorary global member of The Club of Budapest
and has many joint projects with Dr. Ervin Laszlo
(The Chaos Point).
With
this knowledge I was excited when the audio
book arrived in store. I usually listen to audio
books as I commute to and from work, however
I quickly realised this was not going to work
in this particular case. There is so much information
I found I was not able to hold the principles
in my mind (and concentrate on traffic flow!).
So, with no distractions around me I settled
in to listen and with my notebook beside me,
started an amazing journey.
Dr Ashok tells us the health of
the planet results directly from how we have
used our consciousness and so what we are facing
today, individually and collectively, is a crisis
of consciousness.
He states that our domination
with an ego-mental consciousness is peaking,
driving us to look at other ways of being. Many
of us are already doing this as we take responsibility
for our own awakening consciousness or global
mind.
Early into the first session,
Dr. Ashok moves you through a 3000 year mystery
journey of wisdom teachings and traditions to
help you understand the global story and language.
He then delves deeply into ego-mentalism,
to assist you in seeing how the patterns of
ego mentalism have created deep dysfunction
and clashes not only between individuals, but
between religions, cultures and countries.
He then guides you to tap into
the global mind, with a descriptive vision of
what living with a global lens will look and
feel like. The last session focuses on living
with integral wholeness.
Dr. Ashok is a great storyteller
and I can see that he would be an engaging college
professor. His accent and voice is easy to listen
too, although sometimes I needed to replay a
section to get a particular word.
What I also found useful was to
visit his website Awakening
Mind and get clear in my mind the
definitions he uses for terms like logos and
the concept of double parenthesis (( )), which
he introduces early on the first CD
If you have an interest
in the leading edge of research and thought
around the awakening consciousness on the planet
this is an audio book not to miss.
