Deepak Chopra is an advocate for the link between
body and mind healing.
In 1989 he introduced quantum physics as a means
of understanding the mind-body connection,
arguing that consciousness is the basic foundation
of nature and the universe.
He has authored over 40 books encompassing
health, spirituality, arguments for the afterlife
and world peace. He has also written novels and
edited collections of spiritual poetry from India
and Persia.

He was born and educated in India.
In 1970 he emigrated to the USA and started his
clinical internship. In 1996 he co-founded the
Chopra Centre with Dr. David Simon.
In 2005 he became an advocate for disarmament
and international peace in "Peace Is the
Way," where he argues that a "critical
mass" of people who band together in their
spiritual worldview can defeat the age-old "addiction
to war" that continues to create mass suffering.
